Hi,  I have a question about these.

I ordered one from JCWhitneythis past summer.Been very dry here in the S.E.,but now that we are getting a little bit of rain I noticed that it does'nt keep all water out.It just slowly seeps thru the fabric.

Is it suppose to do that?

I thought it would keep it bone dry under there. But it may just keep dirt, leaves and stuff off mainly.

Do I need to spray something on it,Scotch Gaurd or something?

I have a cover that is much akin to Tyvek. It breathes (as it must to prevent nasties) so a bit of moisture creeps through in a heavy rain. It dries in a jiffy, though. Don't do anything to obstruct air flow through the fabric. You want dirt and UV protection. Water won't harm a thing, unless it's trapped by a cover that won't breathe.

I was thinking maybe spraying some 303,Scotch Guard,or some of type of water repellant stuff on it.It would still beable to breath but I think it would bead the water alot better to keep it from seeping thru.
Seen some kind without Silicone in it at K-Mart.May try it,dont know if Silicone would be better or not.Might look for something with UV protection also.

Thanks for the reply, hopefully I'll go camping more 3 times this year. But after it warms up a bit,it was 18* this morning and 30* now.

We live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, so we know rain.  We have one of those covers for our trailer.  It does a pretty good job, but there is always some moisture on the trailer when we remove it.  I believe it has more to do with condensation.  Hopefully, we will get a "trailer port" built this summer for better protection, but in the meantime something is better than nothing.

I think the spray-on stuff won't last very long.  Maybe you'd be happier with one of those steel pole/tarped structures from places like http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=42211  They're on sale for $160, work great, and will definately keep your rig high-n-dry.  And as Wavery suggested, you could cut down the height of the legs if you didn't need, or want it to be as tall.
