Has anyone heard of Internet Camping Family Inc. that offers discount camping?

I came across a website:

internetcamping.com
Internet Camping Family LLC
9136 E Valencia Suite 110 * PMB#201
Tucson, AZ 85747

It offers, for a one-time $47 payment a list of discount campgrounds across the country.  The website says it's not a camping "club" and that there are no other charges.

I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about it, has signed up for it and found it beneficial, or has found it to be a scam?  Any input would be helpful.  Thanks.

I think I would be skeptical of this offer. If there were discount camping offers available without having to belong to a club I'm sure there would be an open website with this info. Most campgrounds offer "special deals" and promos that are listed on their websites for free. A little time is all it takes to research this. If only 100 people respond to this "offer" my vacation money would be set for the year!!!!!
Just my two cents worth. Good luck on what ever you decide.

There are no discount campgrounds at State, or National parks.  There are some "discount" RVParks.  And, some RVParks offer a AAA, GoodSam, or AARP discount.  If you like to regularly camp at RVParks you might be better off purchasing a Camp Club book from Camping World.

You will find that the reason they offer discounts is because they are in out of the way locations that most people typically would not go out of their way to visit.  The RVParks listed for CA are not typical places I would want to visit on my valuable weekend camping trips, with only a couple of exceptions.  Fulltimers, looking for a place to live seasonally, are their target market.

The words "a list of discount campgrounds."  If it is just  a list, you would be wasting your time and money.  Most campgrounds give some type of discount, AAA, Good Sam, AARP, etc.

Be interesting to see if anyone has bought into it.

Thanks for the input.  I pretty much figured as much.  I'm going to check out these other avenues for discounts you've all given.

Thanks again!

I agree with the others about the "list" sounding like a rip off.  If you are interested in camping with a group feel free to join COTOC on a trip or trips.  The group is listed in the camping club section here at PUT.:)
