since your DH will not be camping with you. have you considered a ALINER  or a CHALET , these are super easy for a single person to set-up.
good luck and happy camping  :D

Guess I forgot to mention the kids! I have 4, but only 2 are actually mine. Ages 4, 9, 9, and 11. One of the 9ers is a foster and an awesome kid who is thrilled to be away from the life she was living and grasping on to every opportunity she can. The 11-year-old is my step-daughter who lives with us. She is actually in a psychiatric treatment facility all the way in  Austin, TX. We were just told this week that she will be forever a sociopath, she is not curable, and only manageable. Honestly, I don't think she's even manageable. She is alot of the reason I want to get away. It's kinda hard living with someone who wants u dead; however, I have lived with her for 6 years now and am used to it.

Probably tooooooooooo much info, but oh well. LOL!

We have a Coleman Taos and it doesn't weigh much and its a dream to set up and tow.  The larger pop ups scared me with their weight and size.  But this one is just perfect for us and our two dogs and it does allow me to take it out alone if I want to.  Which I have and was so proud of myself for doing it all alone!
You can always upgrade once your comfort level sets in.

We got our 2002 taos in 2005 for only $3500, and it still smelled new inside!

Good Luck!!!

I'll 2nd the Taos. We bought a '98 Taos last year for $1700. Needed tires but they all eventually do. It's light enough to pull with anything. I even pull mine around the yard with my golf cart :)

I love it. Much easier to set up than my old TT we had. No water heater or furnace, leveling is much easier, tows much better, don't need trailer brakes or weight-dist hitch. Only thing is it the Taos might be a little too small for 5-6 people. I camp with 3. 'Course you could also take a small tent for the older kids.

Thanks Robert, that 1st link u sent would be perfect if it wasn't a Dutchmen. I 've been reading through the forums and haven't heard much good about those. The 2nd link was a good deal for the price, but I don't want to be surrounded by all those hard walls.  The 4th one I'm definitely gonna call! Thanks!
