Friends,

I have decide to stimulate the economy with my economic stimulus check and buy new canvas for my 1990 Coleman Sequoia. I have checked Bear creek and RV workshop. Bear Creek uses real cotton Canvas (as far as I can tell) and RV workshop uses Sunbrella. Is the Sunbrella worth the extra money? The differance is about 400 bucks and change. This camper has the original Evo3 canvas so it's lasted 18 yrs. I plan on keeping the camper a long time and have already rebuilt the interior. So, has anybody had the cotton canvas for more than 2 yrs and how is it "aging". Anybody have any first hand experience with either company?

Check prices with Idaho Canvas, as they also offer Sunbrella, it may be cheaper.  Personally, I would go with the Sunbrella.  It is mold and mildew resistent, rot proof, etc. but can be bleached if it is needed.  It won't fade (at least not for a long, long time).  It is much more breathable than canvas and should generally hold up much better.  It is made to be used in outdoor applications, whereas canvas is not.
