May I ask your age and what size family you have and what kind of tv you have? Have you been tent camping now and want to upgrade ?  What kind of camping do you want-----getting out in the rugged out doors or camping in a RV type park The other posts gave you some good things to think about and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun in whatever you get to camp in........Good Luck and Welcome to Pop up Times............carol

Here's a good reason to buy a Pop Up.

I agree with Wavery, gas prices suck!  The pup would make the most economical sense and you can get almost any amenity you would like to have in one. Mine has all I would ever need. Toilet, shower, radio and with mine, a lot of space. It is 28' opened. Gotta have my space too ya know! LOL

I am a backpacker and tent camper at heart.  :tent: To me, tent and camp setup are part of the adventure. The Pup takes this part of the adventure to a new level. I love it. :D

If you don't enjoy the setup and the feel of a tent, then the TT is probably the way to go.

However, because what I really needed was a Toy Hauler, I considered both before purchasing and my smaller tow vehicle helped make the decision.

Other benefits I have found with the Pup:
-I'm generally allowed into tent sites as well.
-The Pup is so easy and fun, we more than doubled our camping output last year.

Good luck

Thanks for showing me where we're headed Wavery.  We follow you guys by about 2-3 weeks in fuel prices.  Unbelievable to see Diesel at $4.89/gal.  It's $4.69 at the highest Chevrons here right now.   I should just take a sawzall to my VW Rabbit Diesel Pickup.  40mpg means nothing anymore.
