Has anyone ever been to either of these cg's? I saw a piece in the paper today that mentioned Riggs Flat Lake and when I went to the Coronado National Forest website I saw Cochise Stronghold. We are planning a trip to the Wilcox, AZ area in Oct and we are thinking of spending a night or two at Cochise. Any feedback on either spot would be appreciated.

I have been to Riggs lake on MT Graham and it is a OK camp ground. The road is the fastest vertical climb in the state. You start on the desert floor and then its switchbacks like straight up. Pretty little spot but Oct might be a little late in the season.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe we will plan a trip to Riggs Lake next Spring. I think we'll go to Cochise and see what that's like.

We just got back from two nights at Houston Mesa cg in Payson. I'll write about it later and have some pictures. I will say we are thinking of going back again next month.
