Upcoming Houston Mesa trip

On the 22nd of this month we are once again heading to Houston Mesa cg in Payson, AZ. This time we have company though. Our neighbors down the street are taking their pup and some other neighbors are tenting it. Mary and Joe Romeo from this forum will also be there that weekend as well. This will be our second time meeting up with them and we are looking forward to it. Our DD's are about the same age so it gives each of them a playmate. We are in spots 10-13. There are still some spots open if anyone else wants to join us.

We are looking forward to getting out of the heat also. Won't be leaving until at least 3:00 pm.  I just want to be able to set up before dark.

My kids don't get home from school until 4 so we will give them a snack and head up. We are looking forward to seeing you guys again and really looking forward to a great weekend.

How was your trip and CG?  We have not been able to camp as much as we would have liked this summer but one trip we took in June to Aspen Campground at Woods Canyon Lake was very cool.  Short hike to lake as well as the rim.  With our two wee ones getting used to camping (they luv the PUP) we are planning more outings for next year.  We are off to San Clemente State Beach on the 8th, have you been?  Later...

Trip was great. Mary and family couldn't make it due to an illness. Two other families from my neighborhood went up, one in a pup and one in a tent. I will be writing about the trip but just haven't had the time yet.

Glad you had a great time.  I will post a review upon our return.  Would love to join on a trip in the fall.  We enjoy Lake Pleasant since we live close to there.  Even though it is our second year with PUP, the lake we have used 4 times.  They have hook ups and lots for the kids to do.  Later...
