Remember those of us who live in South AL, MS, & LA. Weather is already beginning to impact these areas. Many lost so much 3 years ago with Katrina. We were fortunate then & pray we will be again. We live close to bayous off the Mobile Bay.

Best of luck to you all.  I went down with a church group as a volunteer to help with recovery in Waveland, MS 3 months after Katrina.  I can't imagine how the area will deal with another blow like that.

Good luck to you!  We are located in the center of Louisiana, and are being told that the storm will pass over us as a possible catagory 2.  You will be in our prayers.  I ask that everybody keeps the gulf coast in their thoughts and prayers.

I am here in St. Tammany parish. We were not part of the mandatory evacuation area so we are hunkered down at home. We boarded up the house and have laid in supplies. The first bands are already beginning to roll through. Keep us in mind. My greatest fear is that my PUP won't stay PUT.

...well maybe not my greatest fear.

I logged on specifically to tell those who live down south that I'm praying for them!  Half of my family lives in New Orleans and have evacuated to Baton Rouge.  Still there are tornado warnings there....
Please stay safe my southern friends.

We are SAFE, just "SOGGY" -- got 8" of rain in a very short time period; had tornado warnings all over & around us this am for several hours. Fortunately, the rains broke long enough for the water accumulation to drain down. It was half way up the yard, headed to the house;still raining off & on. Thanks again for all the prayers & concerns. Our prayers are with those in the LA area who are still getting the storm.

Back online!  Gustav was a catagory 1 as it passed through central Louisiana.  Trees and power lines are everywhere, but we came out with no damage.  Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!
