Just bought a TT

My dealer called me yesterday morning stating he wanted to swap my PUP for the TT I originally was looking at before I purchased the PUP. Well the deal was to good to pass. I bought a new holdover 2006 Starcraft NXP 20DBB Travel Trailer.
 
Parents looked at the TT and really like it. They really liked the PUP as well. The wood and cabinets in the TT had my mom all impressed. The big U dinette is much more comfortable than the small U dinette in my PUP. It has a double bed in back with a bunk over the double bed. The U dinette also makes a double bed. There's a total sleeping area of 5, 4 adults and 1 child (bunk is limited to 150 lbs.). The PUP I had slept 6 adults or kids, so I'm not loosing to much sleeping area.
 
The TT is simple with a single door fridge (big though), a 3 burner range and hood, a spot for a microwave, a spot for a TV, a CD stereo with in and outside speakers, cable hookup and a crank up TV antenna, stereo antenna, Skylite and power vent in the bathroom, tons of open cabinet storage, and 2 wardrobes for hanging clothes. It's dual axle for easy backing in, and lighter hitch weight.
 
The things it lacks being a value model is an oven and a microwave but may get a microwave/convection oven. It doesn't have a side mounted grill or stove with propane connection. It also doesn't have an outside shower. It doesn't have a tub/shower surround, but I'll be having one installed before delivery. I never used my side mounted stove or outside shower on the PUP so those things don't matter to me.
 
The model is an ultralight and uses welded aluminum framing laminate in the walls, floor, and roof. The upper model Travelstar XLT uses stick built design in the roof and floor along with aluminum framing in the walls that adds weight. The 20DBB model I have has a weigh sticker in the cabinet of only 2800 lbs! That's lighter than most stick built high wall PUPs.
 
Didn't plan on getting a TT this soon, but when opportunity comes knocking, I'm answering.

Thanks, I'm sure I will. I'll miss the PUP for sure for it's uniqueness being as small as it was, but full contained. The new camper is unique as well as being only 2800 lbs due to welded aluminum framing that strong and light.  
 
Now I'll be able to camp and RV, and with the light weight, hopefully won't go broke with gas either.

I'm back for now. Not saying if a good deal comes by again, that I won't take it. The girlfriend now has fallen in love with a big fridge and a big bathroom.

You don't have to leave, we've moved up to a hybrid in 04 and still like this board.  Don't post much but have been with pop up time for a very long time, going all the way back to cool board..

We hope to move up to a different hybrid(Roo 21ss) sometime in the not to distance future.

We just followed Carol and Jim to the dark side!  bought a 5th wheeler..31 ft from spare tire to the tip of front hitch...its a Springdale by keystone with a big slide and lots of windows...but we still are part of the SCCampers and love all of them.  Sooner or later they will all join the force or farce Absolutely
