We saw the doctor today and not much was done he has to see another doctor on Sept. 10th to find out how they'll handle his knee.  His MRI did show all the cartilage in his knee is gone and he just has bone rubbing on bone. OUCH
So again we are in wait and see mode at least the knee brace we got for him is helping him walk better.  There was a little good news his back isn't so bad he does have some problems but surgery isn't needed for it.......Hooray.......
Thanks for caring and asking about him I know it means a lot to him he has really been a trooper about everything.................carol

I'm glad to hear that Jim's back is feeling a little better. I know that he was in a lot of pain at Pt Mugu a couple weeks ago.

Are you guys gonna make the Labor Day camp-out??

cjpoppin

At this time we are planning on going as long as he feels he can make the drive.  ONce there he can rest all he wants.....See ya soon.......I hope

Carol, that is good news.  My dad had a knee replacement and it was like a breath of fresh air for him.  No more pain.

Carol.

The update sounds good! Now tell Jim, here is his chance to get that new golf cart! Tell the doctor to prescribe one for Jim.

Carol,

Glad to hear Jim's back is feeling better. A friend of mine just had the knee  surgery and he said he was sorry he put it off for so long.  His recovery was fairly quick and he's as good as new.  We hope Jim's doctor goes ahead with this.

Carol,
Today being the 10th; how was Jim's DR. appointment?

Dee4j

yes we want to know how he is

Well the news was really good he doesn't have to have his knee replaced ( at least I think this is good if the pain stops ) seems the first Yahoo Doc read the MRI wrong and he does have a bad knee but not to the point of having it replaced.  So they gave him a Cortisone shot in his knee today and are hopeful it'll help with the pain. If it does help then he can go back in a few mo's and get another one.  The Dr. just said he has a breakdown of the cartilage that cushions the knee joint which causes bone rubbing on bone which means PAIN......Also, he has Arthritis in the knees & (Back) which they think is causing most of his pain and it doesn't help that he is a diabetic.....It's the pit's getting OLD   If I started listing all Jim's health problems it would take all night so thank-you for all the good wishes and prayers for him and lets hope he starts feeling better very soon......I know he is really getting tired of feeling so darn bad........I really feel for him and it's a big worry I truly hope this Dr. knows his job !!!!!!
