Hi,

What is your opinion on towning mirrors, convex or flat. And which one do you recommend for driver and passenger side?

Thanks, Christian.

That mirrors needed depends on your tow vehicle and trailer along with the height of the driver.  The important thing is that they work for you.

With some trailer and tow vehicle combinations, the factory mirrors may be sufficient.

The ideal solution is replacing your tow vehicle's factory mirrors with custom  replacement mirrors. Cabela's has models that extend manually, electirically, and some are heated. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0032480521719a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&No=18&Ntk=Products&QueryText=mirror&sort=all&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1

There are also cheaper custom vehicle specific slip-on mirrors made for many vehicles:
