Hey everyone I'm new here........but not to camping. I've tent camped for many years. 4 yrs.ago a friend  gave a 1978 Brandywyne to make room for a in-ground pool. My question to all you learned folk out there is. Can the canvas on this type trailer be taken off or out of the upper  track and reinstalled. I'm thinking about doing the Oxy-Clean soak. Camper is alittle rough but everythig works. I've gotten alot of onfo from surfing the threads here. I see that you push the rubber gasket into the track easy enough. I also see that it is designed  to come out. Is there some kind of tool or homemade gaget that can do the job?

         Thanks,

Not sure about your specific camper, but I found on my CampLite that if the top is not all the way extended (such that there is sufficient slack in the canvas, it would lift right out.

Hope this helps.

the canvas is held in place by a tee shaped rubber gasket that pushes into a 1/4"-3/16" channel on the inside. But there is no room to slide out the ends. I've been able to slide out the sides, but the ends over the bunks are a real chalenge. Given the age of the thing a the fact I'm going camping in 2 weeks keeps me from really wrestling with them. I've got a leaky roof seam and some mildew has started to form on the canvas.

There should be a screw in both ends of the channel. Those screws must be removed first.

If they still give you trouble, try spraying a little silicone in there.

WELCOME TO PUT!!!
