Velcro around door

I just bought a 1987 Skamper and all is good with the exception of the velcro around the door frame wont stick. Anyone have a suggestion other than removing the canvas and sewing new velcro on.

Well, the Velcro is 20 yrs old; it does wear out. I assume you have tried scrubbing both surfaces with a stiff brush to get out anything that might be hindering the adhesion?

Is the velcro on the door frame the hook part? If so, you could remove just that part and replace it, which should make the stick better. Use self adhesive velcro to stick it on the door frame.
