Well, I'm sad.

I just finished my first season of camping with my '08 Palomino Pony 2100 and had it winterized and we don't plan to camp anymore until next spring.

After twenty or more years of tent camping this last season was a dream come true. Love my new '08 Nissan Xterra 4x4 and it did a fine job towing the camper.

We got out about five weekends since early July when I made the purchase.
Oh, how I miss camping already and it's only been two weeks since we were last camping for Oktoberfest in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

What can I do all winter to avoid the blues about this ?

Glad to hear you had an enjoyable season.

I hear you big time! Haven't winterized our 08 Cirrus yet, but we've camped the last time for this season this past weekend. Will probably winterize it this coming weekend. Usually I spend the off season hanging around these camping forums talking about camping and planning our trips for next season.

My heart goes out to you guys, I can't imagine not being able to camp during the most glorious time of the year. But I do understand, you have extreme cold to deal with in your neck of the woods that I can't even comprehend.

Wish I could help you, but our camping season here in the deep south is just starting and will run through mid June.

If we're lucky the temps for Thanksgiving will be in the mid to upper 60's during the day and upper 40's to lower 50's at night.

Man I can't wait.

I know exactly what you can do.  Take that new 4WD out and do some muddin!  Don't be one of those guys with a clean 4WD.   Yee haw.

I live in SoCal. We winterize our trailers by putting jackets in them for those cool night's out camping.

I hear you, come to California.   My cousins in Montana go to Arizona for the winter, you can come here and camp with us and maybe get the Nor Cal group going agin.

You know I felt bad for the guy reading his post and some of the responses... Until I read the post from The Viking. LOL He is right, we camp pretty much year round here. Come to California!!!

Martlet

I'm still camping.  I'm going again this weekend.  Granted, it's a little chilly up here, but not unbearable.

Florida in January, cool nights and warm days.  I did take my son hiking and tent camping last weekend in the TN Mountains.  The forecast was 45 degrees for the low and it hit 28 I was freezing and missing the camper big time.
