Curious... On average, how many days do you think I can get using the black water (one person).  I will be camping with only water/elec, no sewer hookup. I will be there or almost 3 weeks.  The tank is 25 gal.

Lot of different factors come into play.  Are you boondocking completely out in the wild?  Anywhere near civilization that you can use restaurant and service station restrooms on your outtrips?  Are you in a campground that has bathrooms available?  The more you can use someone else's facility, the longer you can go on your black tank.

We've gone as many as 7 nights with 3 people in a campground situation that we would use the campground bathrooms on occasion.  We have a 38 gallon black tank.

The campground actually has "primitive" facilities, pretty much outhouses.  I've used them for the past 4 years, so no big deal to me. I'm sure I will still used them some.  I'll be there for 18 days, and I know it will fill up if I use it constantly.  Would be nice to have sewer connections.

With my Pop Ups cassette toilet, 3 of us using it, lasted 3 days. It has a 5.5 gallon tank. Cassette use 1/2 the water as they aren't a flush, just a user rinse and fill. Based on that, 3 people for 3 days will use 11 gallons. It will be used up in 7 days. Better get a Thetford blue tote with tow bar and tank level (to prevent overfilling). Then just take the blue tote to empty at the dump station. Don't forget latex gloves.;)

Have a good one.

Between Trips

I think I'd stick with using the outhouse when the tank gets full -- which will probably be in about 2 weeks.

Offloading black water into a tote, hauling, and then dumping it some distance away will be messy and may, in effect, create a biohazard. Big reason these totes are generally recommended for grey water only.
