Last summer we spent a week camping at the Lazy L and L over in New Braunfels.  The guadalupe river was great for swimming and tubing, and the campground offered raft/tube rentals and shuttle service.  If you go, go during the week, the weekends were a lil too crowded for us.  One nice feature about this campground is the river has some rapids in one section of it, and a nice paved walkway on the side so the kids could ride that section over and over again.
