Somes Sound view campground

Hey all,  We think that we are going to make our trip to acadia and stay at somes sound view campground.  Has anyone ever stayed here or even passed through it?  Their website and pictures look really nice,  but as I have learned from experience,  that can be totally decieving.  thank you

We always stay at Blackwoods. Have not stayed at Somes Sound CG but see that reviews are mixed if you search the web.
If you don't need hookupos, Blackwoods is GREAT!

The only private campground in that area that I liked when I drove through them a few years ago, was the campground at the top of Somes Sound.  Not sure if that is the campground you are looking at going to.  I don't remember the name of the campground I liked, but it is right on the Sound.  I also love Black Woods campground in Acadia NP.  I will be going there in July.
