Dog Days of Summer

Well, it may be hot, but Jed's figured out how to stay cool.  

We went to Dog Beach (Huntington Beach) on Saturday and he had a blast.  The weather couldn't have been better and the water was incredible.  I hadn't planned on getting so wet, but we had lots of fun!





Then today we went to a friend's house and Jed went swimming for the first time.  He wasn't too sure about how to get into the pool, but once he got in there was no stopping him.  He's still asleep from his fun and games!





Before we get to Smithwoods we're going north to Lake Almanor, which is about 30 miles south of Mt. Lassen.  We've got a campsite right next to the lake and they allow dogs to go swimming!  I think we'll be all set for our time there!

Randy's brother has a black lab (Boo) and she spends a couple hours a day in there inground pool.  In fact when the kids swim with her, she thinks it is her job to "save" them.  

Laura you will love Lassen NP.  What a forgotten National Park.  Be sure to check out Burney Falls and the Lava tube.   Very cool to see.
