Where are you coming from? This is a pretty, well-wooded park with a huge lake and plenty of wildlife. I will be camping there this year, probably more than once. There's a swimming area (too cold for Spring though), a big lake to boat and fish on. Several nice, well maintained trails of varying intensity. There's a mini golf course too, and the sites are nice and well maintained, although I'm of the opinion that some of them could be a little further apart.  Certain times of the year they hold moonlight hikes, etc...not sure if they do that in early spring. They do some really fun things around Halloween (hikes and ghost stories, hayrides). There's an iron furnace that they fire up a couple of times a year too.  I haven't camped here yet, but at another campsite next door to this park, and I spent a couple of days at Red Top just exploring and we have a bunch of pictures of our visit there. I will definetly be back there to camp this year. The surrounding area has plenty to do also (Etowah Indian mounds, Cartersville Cowboy Museum, etc.). There's a covered bridge about 13 miles away, with a slave cemetary nearby. Lots to explore! This is a very family oriented campground that I am lucky enough to live only about a half hour from. I think you'll enjoy yourself and there aren't any major drawbacks I can think of, so I would recommend this park to camp at and enjoy!
