Anybody camped at Woods Valley CG?

I guess I posted in the wrong catagory earlier, so thought I'd try here.  DW and I recently heard about a CG in No. San Diego Cnty called Woods Valley Kampground. It's just a few miles east of Valley Center. We were wondering if anybody has camped there recently (last 2 yrs or so) and if you have any feedback on this place. We normally camp in the Julian area, but thought we'd try a change of pace without having to drive too far from the Imperial Valley (I know - anywhere decent is at least 2 to 3 hrs travel time, and we're wimps when it comes to driving very far).  Any feedback would be appreciated.

We have camped there many a times, we like it especially camped under the oaks close to the rec center and store.  there is a petting zoo for the kids and a fishing pond catch and release...It can get hot in the summer.  There is a bates Nut farm right next door and several casinos close.

Thanks for the feedback, Sue. I just made reservations for the weekend after Easter at Pinezanita, so will probably plan to drive down to Woods Valley to take a gander at the place. Maybe we'll plan our vacation for Woods Valley in August if it's not too hot then. Seems like we just can't get out of the heat in the summer unless we travel for several hours.
