I sure it got lost in the ether (a reference to good ole days when people didn't understand how sound traveled through air)

The change/maintaince obviously dropped a few posts/thread.

Just repost.  :usflag:

I'm sorry about any missing threads. I moved the site to a different server the other day and also updated the forum software at the same time. We were on beta of version 3 and there have been several revisions since then. It takes quite a bit of time to copy the database then more time to convert the database for the revisions and even more time to upload all the software and data.

I did loose my internet connection near the end for about five hours which was frustrating so we eneded up loosing more new posts than I would have liked. I think we lost close to 22 hours worth of posts during the move.

Once the database was copied down everything after that would have been lost until the site went live on the new server.

should I re-start the thread?????

saltysenior

and it also has me as a guest....?????

dno

Yes, there is at this point no way for me to recover those threads lost for that time period.

I don't even see you in the userlist, but if I search the database itself I can find you so I will have to figure out what is going on there, perhaps there is some sort of flag that is wrong... If anyone else has the same problem please report it to me.

We are flagged as guest with no rights to edit our own posts!

:eyecrazy: I'm sure it will get better with time !

Enjoy your holiday everyone. :usflag: :U

For some reason I see a number of members that are showing as guests. When I do a search for you, I can't find you. When I query the database directly I can. I can't see any difference or flag that would cause the problem. Oddly enough when I do a search on my local version I can find you guys so the problem seems to exist only on the live server.

Just for kicks and grins, why don't could you try clearing your cookies and cache and see if that fixes the problem or even trying logging out and then back in.

So far all the user records seem fine to me the problem on the surface appears to be compelely random.

Here is one more thing I just thought of. I set the forum software up at popuptimes.com/forum. What URL are you guys logging in from. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. I think maybe tomorrow I will shut down the popuptimes version since I'm pretty sure we are fully propagated by now.

I decided not to wait, I'm killing access from popuptimes.com/forum so now you can only get to the site via arveeclub.com.
