My new Uhaul harness is 4 point to 7 point and doesn't match the Coleman wiring scheme. The uhaul receptical is sealed, but I can open the plug on the camper. One of the 4 Ford wires is yellow and Coleman has a red for stop/turn (right or left?) How can I figure out which is what. The common white is ground and Ford brown is tag, running lights.
I'd like to do it myself, but the Coleman diagram shows colors and function, but no clues to wire to the tow vehicle.

Here is a proper trailer wiring diagram. I hope that is helps:

What I do on these older campers is:
1) Cut the camper's harness where you intend to splice in the modern Tow Vehicle harness.

2) Plug in the modern harness to the tow vehicle and connect the ground (white) from the tow vehicle to the ground (usually white) on the camper, going to the camper's frame.

3) Turn on the tow vehicle's parking lights and touch it's brown wire (running lights) to the camper's wires one at a time until you see the camper's running lights come.  Once you find that wire, make your permanent connection.

4) Next do the left turn the same way.

5) Right turn is next.

6) Reverse lights next.

7) Blue is electric brakes, do those next.

8) Black is the 12v supply lead that charges the camper battery while you drive, and runs the fridge on 12v too.  Do that last.

For me, doing it this way always guaranties a perfect result.  And it saves me time trying to look at a wiring schematic, or plug diagram, and do the whole, "Okay, it shows that one should be there, and then go to there, but that's the mirror image, so that really goes like that, and it looks like this on my truck, but the camper wiring doesn't match that.....and on and on."  If that makes sense.

Good luck!
