Now explain to me why Wayne is the one answering all the questions on this board???  :p

With those scores doesn't Mater Dei have a scholarship fund or something to keep him in that school?  I would think they would want him there....

Good luck on your search.  You will make the right choice.  And you have a boy who will make the most of what ever situation he is put into...

School is what you make it, Dee.  Case in point ...

I had a boy as a 4th grader who just graduated from Azusa H.S. -- certainly not one of the top high schools anywhere.  He had his pick of over EIGHT top-notch schools, including Harvard, Cal Tech, MIT, Stanford, and Yale.  He chose Yale.  He'd never attended a private school in his life.  But he knew what he wanted and went after it.  AND he's not paying a plug nickel to go there.

Kevin, if he wants it bad enough, will be able to do just as well in ANY public school as he has in a private.  And his opportunities will be just the same.

should know soon about financial aid..I e-mailed his test score to the head of the Math dept and I noticed his response was cc'd to the principal and Vice principal.

I know he could do well in public school if HE chooses to..It's all in the attitude and the attitudes around you....already went thru this with Kara, this last year was a big difference

too bad he isn't a potential Heissman trophy winner, this wouldn't be an issue

if he was going to be a freshman this wouldn't be such an issue but he's going to be a Junior
