We have a 2000 Viking Legend 2480HW pop-up.  There are plastic (nylon?) wheels attached to the sides of the beds that pull out of either end.  These wheels are used to align and help glide the bed back into the extruded aluminum along the inner sides of the camper when closed.  Many of these wheels are chewed up because the alignment is very poor, and they just smash into the aluminum when I close them (push them in).  I think it is a bad design on Viking's part.  Anyway, does anyone know where I can find replacements for these wheels?

Thanks,

You might want to take one of the rollers out and take it to HomeDepot. They have a pretty big selection of rollers. They are for sliding glass doors but you may find some that match.

The problem that you are experiencing is usually caused by factors like:

- Sand or dirt in the track
- Lack of lubrication
- Using the wrong lubrication

The sides should be cleaned and lubricated a few times a year using silicone only. Petroleum based lubricants (like WD40 or 3in1 oil) can damage the rollers.

Alignment should not damage the rollers unless the track is dirty or not properly lubricated.

The previous owner of my current PU bragged to me that he "Sprayed all the rollers & tracks with WD40, twice a year" :eyecrazy:. All of my rollers are now brittle and crumbling:mad:. I have to replace them all, just like you.
