Home A/C unit use in pop-up?

Seeking ideas for where to place and use a small (530 watt) in-window style home A/C unit in a pop-up trailer.  The main problem to solve is how to place the condenser so it can fully vent outside through unzipped canvas.  I want to minimize the amount of outside (= warm) air from coming into the trailer.  The canvas doesn't open across the bottom.  I'm thinking that I'll need to make and temporarily install a filler panel above/beside the A/C unit and make a stand that boosts the unit up off the counter surface.

Or maybe I'm missing a better install idea?  Any comments/ideas are welcome.

I set my home a/c on the shelf by the door vent hot air out the screen, have panel above to cover the rest,,,the side vents will pull the hot air from the sides inside to the outside as the cold air comes out the front,,the fan on the newer units pick up the water puts it on the hot back coils to help cool , no drip on the inside , older a/c  water would drip from the back, not the newer ones,,,,, works good in my pup .....:-()

Are you looking to permanetly install it through the wall of the PU, or set it up outside the PU every time you camp?

I installed a 10,000BTU AC unit through the wall of our camper. I think that a 530W AC unit ma be a little light for a PU. I'm thinking it's probably about 5,000BTU.

Our 10,000BTU unit stuggles on really hot days and our TrailManor is more like a hardsided trailer. It's very well insulated.

I've seen some installed through the back wall, the face inside on the floor, and the exhaust of the A/C out the back supported on the rear bumper. With the bunk pulled out, it's almost invisible outside.

No permanent installation.  Just want to be able to set it up if it gets too hot inside.  We have a Honda EU1000i generator for 120v power in *primitive areas*.
My main goal in choosing a camping spot is cool (relatively) temps.  Here in coastal N. Calif, the hot spots in the summer will be the ones closest to the central/Sac. valley.  If we can get high enough in the Sierras (or stay near the coast), it should be cool enough.

bill623: thanks for the info.

You a desert camper, wavery?

Assemble a plastic shelving unit at the campsite.
Place it near a window.
Place 5, 8, 10 K BTU a/c on top shelf.
Open window and push a/c into screen.
use leftover reflectix or other material and blue painters tape to block opening if window open top down!

If I were you, I'd try running that AC unit on your EU1000i for a couple hours at home before heading off to camp with it. It may be OK but my experience with that gen-set is that it won't run much.

Continuous running should be OK at 530W but starting and especially cycling when hot may be a problem. Cycling may increase the demand by 100% (1060W) which may blow the breaker on the gen-set.
