This is one of our favorite trips! We took 3 leisure weeks to go around. These were what we considered the highlights

We stopped at Lk Superior Prov. Park , Crescent Lk CG. Small Primitive and some awesome sites. We spent 4 full days exploring and have returned back there a couple more times. And still have not seen it all. One of our favs. http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/lakes.html

Pukaswa National park near Marathon was another fun to explore park
that was good for another few days.

We did a day trip to Potholes PP , good hiking but we likely will pass that one by when we do the trip again some day.

Ouimet canyon was another day trip that we really enjoyed and would do again.  http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/ouim.html

The drive from Marathon west was uneventful, we did one of the Amethyst dig things and that is another thing we'd skip... it was kind of a wasted day.

Sleeping Giant PP was fantastic, there are some awesome sites up on the Bluffs of Superior. Enough Hiking to keep one going for days. Also a good area for day trips. If I recall we stayed there about 5 days.

We stayed in MN for 2 nights and shame on us I can't remember where, but it was on Superior. High falls and Gooseberry were in the area, both worth seeing.

We buzzed thru WI staying in Bayfield for 2 nights, did Apostle Islands, that did not thrill either of us.

Now the UP, what part are you going to be near, the whole Superior shore?
We had been there several times and wanted to end our trip at one of our fav NFCGs in the middle of nowhere. In the Ottawa NF. We spent almost a week there.

Skipped down to the Lower and stopped for the night and headed home.

It's a great trip and should not be done in a hurry to appriciate all of it.
