I really enjoyed the slide show.  Thank you for sharing with us.  What was the name of the campground?  What a beautiful area.

Gracy - Thanks for taking the time to look. Hope you enjoyed the slideshow.

Jacqui - The name of the cg is Baker Bay campground in Cottage Grove, OR. The camp ground itself is pretty small and tight. Only about 50 sites. Veeerrryyyy shady. At least 10 degrees cooler in the campsites vs out on the beaches or water. Thanks for looking.

We found out about another campground in Cottage Grove on another lake. It's Pine Meadow cg. We drove over and checked it out. Much better access to the water. We plan to make it our destination next year.

From our campsite in Baker Bay, there was about an 8' dropoff right on the edge of our campsite. :yikes: Pretty scary for animals and toddlers. To top it off, the lake gets deep very quick. About 3 steps out, it's over your head. Hard to moor a boat in those conditions.

Thanks for looking Chez Way. This was the first real camping trip for the dogs. They're sisters. We have the one with the white and our friends have the all brown. Perfect attitude for camping. They're about 15 months old. For us, Lucy replaces an old bassett named Clarence (The Colonel) who passed away right before our big trip last year.

Yeah, Oregon has a lot of beautiful spots. We've still got a lot of ground to cover. :tent:

Nice trip, I've been to Oregon once years ago. Not bad for a Hoosier. Great looking state for camping. Thanks for sharing.

Hey James,

Thanks for taking a look. You'll have to come back out to Oregon again. Sounds like you're overdue!

Thanks for looking Todd.

The 2 Bassett Hounds are pretty popular and make great camping dogs. Their personalities are great. They're sisters....Lucy (partly white) and Elly May.

Thanks for checking it out. I've started using an online service called Animoto.com. You can go to their website and check it out. //www.animoto.com

I usually wrestle with making my own slide show in Pinnacle (movie software) but it takes quite a while and is only as good as I am. Plus, I've been sufferring from an outdated computer lately and Pinnacle needs a powerhouse computer. So, I heard about Animoto and gave it a try. You tell it where your pics are at (Smugmug for me) and tell it what music you want to use, and it does the rest. Of course it turns out to be a bit more complicated than that but it's not bad.

You get free 30 second vids to play with. To get my video, I had to join for $30/year. Then, if you want something other than YouTube quality (pretty low), you pay an extra $5/vid to have it turned into a DVD quality vid for download.

My plan (now that I have a new computer) is to let Animoto make my slideshows with the cool transitions, then I will pull that slideshow into my Pinnacle movie and mix it with the movies I've taken of the same trip. Just getting started on that project.

BTW...what are you doing watching videos? You're supposed to be working on that PUP! :D
