Guajome CG...Ocenside, CA

We just came home from our second experience with Guajome CG.

A few years ago, we had a rally at Guajome and some of us got a lot of Chigger bites. When we arrived at Guajome on Friday, we asked about the Chiggers and the person at the gate said, "They are terrible this year, they've been getting worse and worse by the year."

We were their for our son's wedding and were merely using our camper as a motel room so we weren't at the CG much. However, when we came home from the wedding, the entire camper was crawling with ants. I've never seen that many ants in my life.

I don't think that you will ever see us at Guajome again....

ants?  not a problem I use ajax around th trailer when I have a problem.  Chiggers are another story.  We didn't have any problems at that CG when we went, but we also went a different time of year.  We still liked the CG....

I remembered ready about the Ajax trick so I tried it. The ants plowed right through the stuff.

Baby powder guys.....ants won't walk across it.  It is like broken glass to them.  Cheaper than Ajax and enviro friendly also.

P.S.   Guajome is a great CG....when the weather is cooler.  We really like it there, we will go back....BUT NOT IN THE SUMMER !!!

We love this campground too!! From October on - we never had a problem with ants or chiggers.
