Still shopping here. It'll be a white day tomorrow. Glad the new truck has 4-wheel drive.

Guess we'll have to get a bigger camper....;)

QuoteOh boy Dave.....what have you gone and done now?????:p

Actually, I think he's truly hoping I'll actually get back to quilting. I had a division-winning quilt stolen from the Orange County Fair in 2006 and it completely knocked the wind out of my quilting sails, so to speak. I used to make anywhere from 7 to 10 quilts per year, but since 2006--zip, zilch, nada. I have since recreated the quilt that was stolen but still need to finish the quilting on it. And then I owe Dave a Boston Red Sox quilt from when they won the World Series....in 2004!!! :eyecrazy: He's been very patient...I think it's time to get back to sewing. :D

Hey Moose!!!  It's wonderful to hear from you. Love the picture of "Santa" you sent me. I showed it to Griffin and he immediately knew it was the real Santa and not one of the "helpers" at the mall. :D

We miss you and Paula bunches!! There's a few of us that carry on the black pot tradition at the potlucks, but we old timers still speak of the days of yore when you and Paula would do DO demos, cook eggs in paper cups right in the fire and make the yummiest things to ever come out of a DO!!

Give our love and hugs to Paula, Taffy, and your family. Merry Christmas to you too!!!

Nice set up Lori!  Have fun.  I love all the different thread colors--it reminds me of a brand new box of 64 Crayola crayons.

We are having tamales on Christmas Eve too with albondigas soup.  I haven't paid for our tamales yet though so you are a step ahead of us.  We go to a place in San Fernando that makes 5,000 fresh tamales a day the three days leading up to Christmas so there is no need to order or pay in advance.  Now that's a lot of tamales!:sombraro:

We've been eating tamales for Christmas dinner for about 16 years now. We have to order ours around Thanksgiving and usually get about 4 dozen divided among asada, pollo, y carnitas.  :sombraro:

I wonder if the ladies who make all those tamales have them for Christmas, or do you think they can't stand the sight or smell of another tamale?
