I am looking to get a Portable Waste Holding tank (Tote).  Who has one and what brand is it?   What do you like and dislike?   Some of reviews are pretty bad with regard to wheels breaking or bending and cracking the tote while being towed or pulled to the dump station.  I really don't know which one to get.  Any help would be appreciated.

Jim,

Yes there are a variety of waste water totes.  You can get either the two wheel or four wheel versions.  I don't think there is a big difference with the wheel totes but you need to decide what size you will need for a typical weekend trip.  My recommendation is at least 22 gallons.

I've use both sizes that are shown in this photograph and never had problems with the wheels.  However, you have to travel at a slow speed (10 miles per hour). If you have to go outside the camp ground to get to a dump station then you are going to run into problems.

Bill (Oz and Us) develop a less expensive option using one or more 7 gallon aquatainers that you can get at places like Wal-Mart. You can hook them directly to the drains and even connect two together  such that you have 14 gallons. Make sure that your PUP drains are high enough so you can drain the sink.

Hope this helps.

We bought the Barker 22 gallon totes and they have worked well for us.  We bought them through JC Whitney on sale and with free shipping.  I think we paid around $89 US for them.  Dont bother with the little flooting bobber.  It's not that hard to check the level.  We did buy a foam adapter for the dump tanks.  The tote comes with most of what you will need.
