Shady Maple Breakfast trip

Some of the wood on the bed ends was showing sighns of wood rot.  They were leaking around the hinges.  In order for them to replace them they need to manufacture new bed ends.  There is at least a 3 week lag time from ordering these to getting them in.  Add to that a few mistakes in the items received and some lag at the dealership it ended up taking that long.  

Beware of service these days.  I think attention to detail is now gone with the wind!

We really did not have too many opportunities to use it anyway due to stephanie being in marching band.

A couple of months ago, someone mentioned to me that the yr round loop at FC would not be open for winter camping this yr due to budget issues. Since you're camping this wknd, I guess it was just a rumor. Glad to hear it. I usually like to get a March camping wknd there before track season gets in full swing & limits our schedule.

Yes the campground is open all year round.  The state did close most of the other parks that had their campgrounds open year round.  Only 3 parks have open campgrounds this winter.  They did plow my site, and a few others.  My site was plowed out better than the other sites.  Only one tent camper was in the campground Friday night.  They were gone on Saturday.

Last Thursday we were on a trip in PA and on the way home we stopped by Shady Maple for the first time ever.  WOW I was not ready for the size of that place!  The food was very good.  I am torn now between my favorite Golden Corral vs. Shady Maple.  I think the quality of the food was a tad better at Shady Maple, but I think Golden Corral has a much bigger variety of menu items.  It was difficult driving the slightly less then 4 hours home after eating there lol.
 
PS - Shady Maple was the first place I've ever seen that has a living room (couches, comfy chairs, etc.) inside their bathroom entrance lol.

Rick you have missed many good meals at Shady Maple.  If you camp with us at Easter you would be able to go again, but not have a long drive afterward.  What meal did you have?
