Hey guys, are we still going to do a fall rally this year?  If so, where do you want to go?  No, I didn't ask where you want me to go.  LOL.   If we do Locust Lake, I will be glad to host.  Ok, actually have hosted since we joined cotoc so I would still be in for it.  Let me know your thoughts.

Scott if there is a trip I will come.:D  It doesn't matter where.

Here are some ideas for the group.  These are in no order.  Just ideas.

Locust Lake SP - In the past kind of central.  Not a lot right there but cabelas isn't far away.

Hickory Run SP - Nice trails and boulder field but not great sites.

Ricketts Glen SP - I haven't been there in ages but I remember it being beautiful and some great trails.  Disadvantage is it is fairly north of central for the group.

RB Winter SP - I haven't been there but hear it is great.  Would be nice to be in tracy's backyard for a change and may be more central for some of the southern folks but difficult for anyone from north or east.

French creek SP - Nice sites and close to shady maple.  Relatively east and south of central for the group as a whole.

All seem good.  As per the Cosgrove's never been to Ricketts Glen and will be going to French Creek for the first time for Easter on Thursday.  Our other big variable in the fall is Stephanie and Marching Band so we will have to check to see if she can miss or work out a commute.

Do we have a date in mind?

Ricketts is a gorgeous park. I don't know if it's a concern of anyone, but when we were there 3 yrs ago, all sites were dry camping, no electric or water hookups at your site.

dademt

Typically we always do the last weekend in September.  In this case it would be Sept 24th-26th.

As for the dry camping I don't mind but there may be some who would prefer electric and all for this trip.  Everyone speak up.  :)

camperjohn

I need to up the battery and add a generator to get to the dry camping.  I do plan on getting there so I guess we should stick to electric as the minimum at this point.

That weekend is also Homecoming for my daughter's school so I don't think we will be able to swing that.  Missing a ball game is onething.  Missing the big dance......I am just a man...I only have so much power.

A man's has to know is limitations..(Dirty Harry)

Hey you bypassed summer right into fall. Let's not move to quickly.

Any trips for the summer?

camperjohn

I am heading to Myrtle Beach sometime in June/July for a week or so.  We do have some spring trips in fact I am heading out on Thursday to Sunday.  Looks like it will be a great weekend weather wise.

Sorry, I am looking long term as we will most likely not get much camping time in this summer as we have a lot to do.

tlhdoc

I am game for any of the parks.  Ricketts Glen is a dry campground.

Hargas I posted my plans for this year, well the plans I have so far.

Keep us posted if you decide to camp with the new (congrats by the way) camper. A big campfire builder is always needed. No puny fires.

Sounds great.  Will do.  On a side note, just wait until you help out with with the older boy scouts and have to teach the outdoor code.  Part of it is only making a fire as big as you need.  Hummm, is 4 foot square then to big?

Uh, Scott, you failed that part.  I hope Ty does better.:D

Tracy, lets just say that I am sure he will make me proud.  Other then that, I plead the fifth.
