Ideas for shower caddies

What is the best idea for shower caddies.  I need a system that is efficient and low maintenance.  Do you use mesh bags or plastic caddies?  My DH thinks this is a stupid question but I am curious for any creative ideas.

TIA

Depends on the campground and what type of shower we will be taking for that trip.  If the campground has showers then we all have a mesh bag to carry to the showers with what is needed for each person.   I buy the travel size bottles and fill up with shampoos and body washes and such for each camper.  If we are dry camping and have to set up our shower tent and coleman hot water on demand unit...........   then we just grab it out of the camper and keep in the shower tent.  I keep all toiletry items in a plastic tote  that we just throw into the camper when ready to leave for a trip.

That's pretty much what we do.

Our PUP doesn't have shower facilities; we haven't purchased any shower gear because the campgrounds that we frequent have showers (with the exception of Assateague National Seashore - they only have cold showers so I take a solar shower bag into the shower stall).

I do the same as you in using refillable travel containers for the campers to take to the showers.  DH & DSs only use bodywash and shampoo; I keep the large sizes of these in the camper and refill as needed.  Since they only take the bodywash and shampoo to the shower (in addition to towels & clean clothes) they just carry the little containers down in their pockets or wrap them up in the towel (they put on deodorant, comb hair, etc. when they return to the camper).  I usually have a couple more things to carry (conditioner, comb, deodorant, razor, etc.) so I often put these things in a clean plastic trashbag that I then reuse for our campsite trash.

Thank you for the ideas.  My husband travels a lot so we have the travel size and I think I will use the mesh bag idea, one for boys and one for girls, since our kids are still small and have to be ascorted to the shower.

Happy camping everyone.  We leave in 2 days for Petit Jean, AR and are very excited.

I just use an old fashioned shaving kit in my duffle, but DW found a nifty shower tote at LL Bean.  She bought a small one for our granddaughter as well.  They hold a ton of toiletries as well.  We also got the camper washed, de-winterized  and restocked today.   Yahoo?3 weeks to liftoff.

We purchased a WONDERFUL bathroom organizer from LLBean.  We put all our bathroom needs in it and hang it in our TT.  When using public showers, we hang it where possible and have everything we need at hand.  It comes in many sizes and in the larger size, you can hold regular size full size products.   When not in use, it can be zipped up and stored for future use.

I use a plastic pail that is really a basket that I bought at a dollar store. The basket is like a strainer so water just runs through it.  We can keep full size stuff in it now or we can refill a couple of travel size if more then one is going at the same time.  I find it stays neater, dryer and everything is in one place.  No more getting there and discovering the body wash got taken out and is back at the trailer.

You know those pop up hampers that are mesh.  I found one in a mini size, approx. 15" tall and that works great!  I can fit in shampoo, soap, combs, moisturizer, 2 rolled up towels and flip flops.  My granddaughter (almost 3)loves to carry it to the shower.
