An interesting new camper was featured in this month's issue of Indiana Outdoor News.  The campers can be used as a trailer pop-up, as a truck camper, or directly attached to the tow vehicle's hitch like a cargo rack.

I'll stick with my pop up and my dome tent.

It's interesting to say the least. However it's so small as to be of any use for me. I'd rather have a quality dome or canvas tent and some sleeping cots, with the addition of some comfortable tent chairs and and an aluminum table to make an indoor dinette. Off the ground sleeping and indoor, foul weather, dining.

If it had some useable living space in addition to the sleep areas, then it would be a bit more useful. There's many tent truck campers based on an enclosure box that seem more useful. Of course they all demand a long bed since the beds runs the length of the truck.

This truck camper is nice at 65" long with the beds running the width of the truck instead. The downfall is that the beds will occupy the entire living space, if sleeping 2 people together. With a 5.5' bed on 'full size' or a 5' bed on midsize trucks, it could be a dangerous step out of bed.

Have a good one and thanks for this unique design.

It's cute but since it has no wood in it my purchase would not promote sustainable forests, as a country boy and former logger, I couldn't deal with the shame! And lugging that big 200-pound box is going to be a lot tougher than setting up my tents and gear.  :tent:

What happens if the wind gets up under it?

No thanks, I'd rather be in a regular tent!

Interesting idea though.
