First of all, hello to everyone!  I am starting to get ready for our 1st camping trip this year on memorial day weekend to Herkimer Diamond Mines.  Should be interesting considering I have two kids and my girlfriend has 3...yes 7 people in a pop-up.  Well I was killing time looking through craigslist and a lady here was selling a full brand new canvas replacement for my camper for $200.  How can I go wrong since I do have issues with some of the original canvas.  I have not looked at the camper yet to see how easy or hard this would be to do.   Does anyone have any suggestions?  Would I be able to do this myself with basic tools?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Holy Cow!

I'd jump on it!
surprising no one has answered this!

is the canvas for your specific model/ size?

taking the canvas off in most campers is a simple matter of removing a few screws  and clips and sliding the canvas out of the aluminum channels.    The only problem you might have is if any of the wood  the channels are attached to is rotted or the screws/ holes stripped.

the canvas usually has a thick, rolled and sewn edge - to make it bulky enough to hold in these channels.

the bottom, where the canvas meets the bottom box/wall of the camper, is usually slid into a channel, or tucked/ pinched under a lip of aluminum molding, and secured with a screw thru the canvas itself at the corners.

The top (above the bunk ends and tops of the sidewalls) usually folds over into an aluminum channel and is held in lace by small clips that are held in place with screws, and pinch/ push  the canvas down into the channel and hold it there.  if some of the clips are missing or damaged, you can often replace them with plastic wall mounts for mirrors.

Hope you get it!
let us know how it turned out!
