We have a dual therm brisk air air conditioner that is not blowing cold air.  Before we take it to the dealer, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it.  It is on a 2005 Jayco.

Thank you.

Is it blowing any air at all?

Have you cleaned the filter?

How do you have the camper plugged in? If you're using an extension cord to the house, what gage is the cord and how long is the cord?

Thank you for the reply.  It is blowing air, we did clean the filter & we are using the same cord as we always have.

This weekend we are going to work on it again.  Hopefully, we can fix it and won't have to take it to the dealer.  We think we will need air in July at Custer state park.

happy camping..

Just stating, "we are using the same cord as we always have" isn't helping us help you........what size cord are you using (what gage and how many feet long)?

If you are using an underrated cord, your AC may work fine for awhile but over time, the compressor may fail prematurely because it isn't getting enough voltage and it's been working too hard.

So.... the statement, "we are using the same cord as we always have" may actually be the very reason your AC isn't working now. It's sorta like saying, "I don't understand why my cat died........I've fed him corn for the last 5 years and he was fine so it couldn't be the food I was feeding him".

Just a thought but I have a 96 Jayco with the Duotherm. Mine quit cooling about a year or so ago and I had to replace the solinoid. Basically it tells the compressor to come on. Was about $45 and I did it myself.
