Oh no, COVID....

Caught a really bad cold last Tuesday, and then this Tuesday as I ate breakfast, noticed I couldn't smell or taste it. Took one of my home COVID test kits (which I used one last Tuesday that came out negative), and this time it showed I was positive for COVID.

Only symptoms were the smell & taste, no fever or nothing like that. Called the Doctor, she prescribed Paxlovid for a 5 day supply. I'll test again tomorrow, but have to isolate for 5 days, then wear a mask for 5 more days. It's taken me 3 years to finally catch this thing, so far just a big nothing!!

Oh crap, sorry. Hope you clear up quick. Hope no long-term effects either, which is what gets some folks.

Took another test after lunch today, this one came up Negative!!! Will continue the meds for the full 5 days just to err on the side of caution. Also called work and told them I wouldn't be there Friday & Saturday, but that I would work "Masked" Sunday & Monday...
