Well, one week from tomorrow will be my final work day at Lake Magic RV Resort, as my seasonal position ends. And 3 weeks from today I'll leave Florida for South Carolina, one night at the Thousand Trails in Yemassee SC, then 3 nights at Pirateland RV Resort in Myrtle Beach SC. I'm NOT going to rush back to New England though, hell it's still snowing up there! I'll spend just about the entire month of April in South East Virginia, arrive in New England the beginning of May.

Just as well too, it's starting to get hot down here, been in the mid 80's and even hit 90ยบ a couple days this week. I can't for the life of me, figure out how people can stay here in Florida in the summer months, it's gotta be brutal....

Awesome Cliff! Looks like you get a couple of weeks of no work before the first move.
Always thought Florida would be a nice place to live, but yea the summer heat would kill me. That's if some alligator, huge snake or other creature didn't get me first!
The weather up north has been absolutely brutal this year. All over I think it's gone crazy, effects of worldly events happening maybe?

When I first came here, I was worried about Alligators and Snakes, after 4 winters here I've only seen a few Gators, and they scoot back into the water as soon as they see a human (and I have to double handle the dogs leash because he likes to chase them into the water), only 2 snakes I've seen were both dead, one was just a baby. I know they're here, but I haven't seen them. We got a Coyote living in one of the abandoned trailers in the storage/maintenance yard, but she (and her pups) are very shy, and disappear as soon as a human is visible (at a distance she'll lay there and watch us). Just a big wild angry dog really....

About snakes, you don't see them because they know how to hide very well. When you unknowingly come across their hiding spot is the problem. And the only gators I want to see are the ones behind glass at the zoo! LOL

I was touring Cape Canaveral one time and one of the other visitors asked the tour guide about security.  We saw guards at the gates and in the buildings, then mostly nothing.  We were told they already had security covered...  if you get off the road onto the grass there are fire ants and if you get in the water there are 'gators.

Last day is tomorrow, and it's just a half day!!

When I was camping at Thousand Trails Peace River I saw 3 Alligators, the biggest was a 12' beast sunning itself on the opposite bank of the river. I usually see more Alligators in South Carolina than I do in Florida. And oddly enough, I tried some fried Gator last year, it does indeed taste exactly like Chicken...!!!
