I wish they would leave the damn clocks alone too! I may have to move to Arizona or something. Congress keeps talking about doing away with it, but much like everything else Congress talks about, it's all just talk...

Wait until I start my "How to Reset Your Clock for Daylight Savings Time" business and Congress will change it.
Loved it when we lived in Indiana before they joined the rest of the country with clock changing. That got confusing though since I lived in one time zone and worked in another. I could leave for work at 8 AM and get to work at 8 AM. Going home at 5 PM meant I'd get home at 7 PM. The next 6 months we'd be on the same time.
I think Arizona is on DST now though.

I don't know which time zone Arizona uses, but I know they don't change it either!!

Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii stay on standard time all year.

Alaska uses daylight time just to keep in synch with the neighbors (such as for doing business with Seattle).  It doesn't make much difference to them because it's either dark all the time or light all the time.

The weird federal law gives all states the authority to stay on standard time if they want, but they're not allowed to stay on daylight time.  I'm not sure how that made sense to whoever wrote it or voted on it.

I'd be ok with hibernating during the winter.   8)
