I am adding a deep-cycle battery to my 99 Niagara. I need to know how to wire it and if I need a fuse or fusable link in the  hot  or ground line. I have three wires at the hitch. I assume the two on the  connector  are for + and - for trailer 12 V system. The third seems to be the break-away  hot  wire for the wheels.....Is this all correct?

Thank You all so much for your information. I will call my dealer on Monday AM and order the parts.
I mounted the battery to the tongue of the trailer with a piece of angle aluminium and some sheet metal screws. It looks and works great.

 Again - Thanks -

My Coleman dealer, near Orlando, is charging me $19.95 for part # 4749B5531 and a few dollars for shipping......I probably could have made up the connection and fuse for $2.......Oh, well.......

PhillipsYou got the basics down pat.

Yes, you want a breaker or fuse as close to the battery as possible on the positive side.

You can check out my web page [link=http://www.title-3.com/Battery.htm]Adding a Battery[/link]

 Good luck

PhillipsYou can get a wire harness at any Coleman dealer ( around $12) that will have the 2 leads that  connect to the battery, a circuit breaker that resets itself and the  wires come together attached to a white plastic connector that plugs into the white plug on the tongue of the trailer.  The nicest thing with the Coleman system is that you can disconnect the battery by just unplugging the white connector.[:)]

PhillipsI don t have the part number.  My Coleman dealer has them hanging on a shelf in the store.  If you have a problem getting the wires let me know and I can pick one up for you and mail it.
