 The RobinsonsHi Guys,

Congrats on the new Santa Fe. We too have a Santa Fe and we love it. This year will be year two of ownership and getting " everything"  that we need has been a gradual process over each of the camping trips. Go to our website and click on the " Our Camping Journal"  link that is listed to the left. We have several trips that haven t been documented, but we ve provided tidbits of useful information that we ve learned. Have fun and feel free to drop us an email anytime. We live in Fort Worth and our next trip planned is to Inks Lake State Park in May. Have a great time camping!

The RobinsonsOne thought on the portapottie, check the height. They make both " low"  and a " regular"  height models. The regular height ones are the normal at home toilet height and the low ones are quite a bit shorter. Might not seem like a problem for the kids but once you go over 5 foot tall the low one can have your knees around your ears when using it.

As before the paper and pencil are the most important things you ll need on a first trip.
We always break the list into 3 parts. The gotta go get it now. The we have to get this before next time. And the wouldn t that be nice to have lists.

And as mentioned before driveway or backyard camping can really help shake down the PU as to the necessities, routines, and where everything goes.

Also, you want to be sure it will fit in the planned storage space.

The RobinsonsYou asked " ...why does it need to be level...?"

Anyway, you need to have your fridge level when you re set up...so it works properly and doesn t become damaged.  It doesn t have to be exactly perfectly level...just fairly close...3 degrees side to side and 6 degrees front to back (as looking at the front of the fridge).  [;)]  I put my level in the fridge on a shelf to check.  The fridge and the floor are sometimes NOT on the same plane... as they should be.  It s just not a perfect world sometimes...is it?[:D]

The Norcold web site has a FAQ section that answers this:

 I hope that works![;)]

The RobinsonsCongrats on the new trailer. The most important thing you need to have is a very large savings account or a friend in the loans department of your local bank. Oh, and quit calling it a trailer. It s real name is the " endless money pit" ! Think not? Just look at the lists of items above that people say you need!  LOL [:o][;)][:(]
