We are planning a camping trip to Big Bend and Davis Mountains areas of West Texas in mid to late March. We will probably do some dry camping ( our Coleman Taos is not supplied with 12v battery) and would like recommendations on small catalytic heaters which are fired with propane. We expect night time  temperatures in the 30 s.

van castleWe use a Coleman Pro Cat, It s a true Catalytic heater. The one that has a fan a 2 batteries in it. Works really good. Or get a Mr. Buddy Heater.

Whatever you get, keep in mind to shut it off, then go to bed.
Do Not Leave it running while you are asleep!
Use it carefully, and wisely, either one should work for you.

Here is a link to the one we use.

van castleWe have a Coleman Cat too (but can t remember if it is a Pro or other variety). It is big, tough, and knocks the chill off FAST. We also run a ceramic heater at night while sleeping. We never run our Cat while sleeping or lying down.

 They are pretty cheap too!
