Kelly,
What time of year are you travelling through NM?  Just keep in mind you will be driving through the desert areas. I have not stayed at this cg but have driven through it. Tetilla Peak is at a higher elevation so you might be alright. You are also on a water way and that will help with the temps. You may want to call them and get a copy of the campground layout and amenities. It was taken care of but you will want to get a site with shade. Their phone # 1-505-465-0307. You may also want to check out website www.explorenm.com  go to camping to get information on the campground. I also found some pictures of the campsites if you scroll down on the page. I hope this helps with your research.

P.S. I am a former MN myself, lived in Mankato for 13 yrs before relocating to AZ.
I still have brothers in Mankato and St. Paul, one a professor at St. Thomas and the other is a draftsman at 3M, the one in Mankato a supervisor  of road maintenance and snow removal. (I am sure he is busy this time of year)

Thank you so much for all the information!!  We will be there in August (I KNOW ~ it will be HOT) but with kids in school it is the only time we can take long trips.  I m already gathering information to help us deal with the heat, etc.

We seem to be a bit low on snow this year, so I doubt that your brother in Mankato is very busy this year! [;)]  Seems they got all the snow out east! [: (]

 Thanks again!
