Most of you will remember " robucko"  from the old board. Jerry was (is) the kind of member we all liked: always there with advice when he knew the answer, or support and a kind word when you needed a friend. He also participated in a group rally at Bodega Bay in California last year with the beginnings of the Nick-Neff-Cough camping club. Jerry and his wife Nancy are two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet in person. Due to some back problems, Jerry had to cut last year s camping season very short.

Jerry had back surgery a couple months ago. Without getting too personal, let s just say he has had kind of a tough time in his recuperation. Activity outside of the house is extremely limited, and camping is out of the question.

To top it all off, he is not able to access this forum, as his WebTV is not compatible with the new forum software. So he is feeling pretty isolated from his old friends, and really misses all of you. Those of you who are a little snowbound right now will understand this feeling, I m sure.

With a little bit of luck, a lot of hard work on his part, and some prayers and kind words from the folks here at PUT, Jerry will be able to camp again this summer. How about dropping him a note at KYUP@webtv.net  , or reply here and I ll print the whole thread up and take it over to him. I know he d really appreciate it, even though Jerry would never ask for such a thing.

Get well soon, Jerry. We miss our camping buddy!

Ab DiverThanks for the heads up on one of our camping buddies.  I really hate to hear that anyone of our own is having trouble.  I hope he is better soon.

Ab DiverHi Dave.  I ve always wanted to be on TV, and see this as my BIG CHANCE ![:D][;)]  So right about now, I shoukld be appearing on  Jerry and Nancy s TV screen!  (Anybody want my autograph?[8D])  I figured I d send it directly to them as it would save you printing it out and delivering it.  I remember Jerry well--not a lot of " rattling-on posts"  like some of the rest of us, but he usually was either informative or helped to change the subject to something useful or pleasant when tension built up.  Good common sense.  Too bad he cannot be here with us--we d cheer him up in a hurry  [:)]

 Dave, thanks for the update.

Hi Jerry, I remember your Robucko posts from last year.  Sorry to hear things aren t going too well at the moment.  We haven t met yet, but hopefully will soon.  I m a new NNCer, but from So Cal, so am more of a Snick-Neff-Cougher.  Live in the same town as the GSMs.  Am trying to learn everybody s names (how many Larrys and Scotts are there???) before meeting them next month.  We banter about like nuts on the board, though.

Will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.  Take care, and all the best!

Ab DiverSorry to hear about Jerry s misfortune. I think I know what he must be going thru. Back problems are one of the worst.

But, it will all get better in time, It might hurt like h**l and seems like it lasts forever but it will get better. Before he knows it he will be back out there and start camping once again with his buddies.

 Get well soon Jerry !
