When I look at all the views, for campfire (In the general view), I see that tim5055  has made a post for PUX is up thread. I got into the campfire forum, and no such post from tim5055.

There is a bug somewhere unless tim5055 deleted his psot (which he can t anymore).

 Just FYI

Jeffrey

birolBirol, I don t want to be the one to start rumors.

But I believe Tim5055 has special powers, beyond what us normal PUT ers will ever dream of having.[;)]

Tim5055

birolWell, I did post, but then had Dave delete it.

Basically what I said was that I think PUX is discovering that there is quite a bit to running an active board.  As many of us who have been around a while remember PUT went through the same growing pains; bigger servers, ISPs with higher bandwidth connections.......

As a member of both boards, I hope they work it out.

birol

birolI should know better and keep my fingers under control. I thought that maybe he had it deleted but didn t think it was that, I was sure it was a bug.

 I hope this explains it.

birolTim, was thinking the same thing yesterday...the day before...and before that.

There does not seem to be any performance problems with www.woodsters.com, but then again, it has not yet quite caught on.

It is more of a total out doors rather than popup-out oriented like PUX and PUT. they even have a section for paintball and other outdoor sports.

GeneF

SheBantamLooks like Woodster added a lot of new forums to keep things alive.

The popup forum doesn t seem to be going anywhere.

We know your home, but you gotta leave the house once in a while. Don t  Cha?
Besides you really need to go help out .........Good ol  Woodster[&:]
He has always had only nice things to say about PUT.[;)]

 Not!

birol

 JeffreyHmmmmmm,

I went to that site and it was down ......

 Is it down permanently ?

Sometimes I take a walk around several neghborhoods, look in the yards but don t care to knock on the doors.

I just prefer this old neighborhood.

So, Jeff and Birol, Glad that your my neighbors.

birol

birolI only learned that it existed by the above post. I didn t mean to criticize you genef.

 No offense taken.

I was just enjoying the fun.

birolBirol, Brian has done some color changes and stuff, so the site may have been down. he now has stickers and a sponsor, and is working on a newsletter. he has a downloadable brochure also.
I have been doing what I can to keep the popup/hybrids lively.

I also missed whatever negative comments were made, so I have no predisposed notions (and do not want to know I ahve tried to stay away from reading posts like those) about Woodsters.com and it is filling a niche not filled by PUT MAPCE or PUX

PUX I have found that sometimes I have to re-request the page, it sort of times out. Performance seems to be better, or maybe it is the times I access it. Dean has a following there also.

We used to camp at the same place at almost the same site everytime adn it got boring. We had walked all the trails, knew where every rock in the Withlacoochee river was, and when we got to go somewhere else we were thrilled, but then we appreciated what we knew well also.  But then again we have friends who are seasonals, they are happy in the same site year after year. Everyone is different. Thank goodness for that!! I can appreciate Genef wanting to stay home, as I am sure he can appreciate my " wanderlust" .
