CampinCrazyWe camp with a Doberman and a Mini Pinscher.

Ours get crated up behind the camper under the bunkend and they usually are quiet there.  At night, I may cover the sides and part of the front of the crate so they stay in the dark.

If it is really hot out, we bring the crate in the camper with the AC if we are going to be gone.  We ll take our chances with the AC going out.

The big trick is to make sure to wear them out.  Walk them often, let them stay on their cables or chains, just ensure that the last thing they want to do is to be active when you re gone.

Also, if possible, make sure that your neighbors meet your dogs, that seems to keep our dogs from being quite so protective (read growl or bark) at others.

Our last Doberman just climbed up on the dinette floor and chilled out, when we were gone.  This Doberman is a bit more of a chewer.  The MiniPin is likely to fall out of the bunkend, she roots under the covers and snores.
