I don t know if it will be on again but if you get a PBS station, check it for the " Mobile America"  show.

It is about the history of RV s and was really interesting.

Some of the stuff we take as modern has been around for quite some time such as aar s and camping kitchens.  They had them around 1917.

Copy of the tape can be purchased for $60 from the network.

Again, it was a very entertaining and interesting show.  And yes, they even had slideouts on an old Model T camper.

GeneFThis would be very interesting to see.  I took pictures of the antique camper on display at the RV at the Pontiac Silverdome this year.  If anyone is interested, I ll post the link here.  Just let me know.  HGTV is showing their RV 2003 special this coming Sunday evening.

 Peace be with you all.

Several years ago we were camping in southern Utah with RVs rented by French families near us.  The women all wore high heels and skirts, every day. One did her entire wash by hand and hung it out to dry. Sheets, towels, clothes and all.
