RE: GRRR - He put different bearing caps on...

 Brian repacked the wheel bearings this afternoon, we tend to do our maintenance in the spring right before we start up camping so much again.  I went out there and looked and instead of having my nice white coordinated bearing covers on, there were these horrible chrome things, with a grease insert in the middle.
 
 Now I asked him, why didn t you put the white things on, and he says he changed to these.  I inspect closely and inform him they better not be bearing buddies, cause I heard they weren t good for pop-ups with the pressure, and people thinking you didn t have to pack the bearings.
 
 Later I told him I was sorry I was angry that he didn t put the white caps back on, but I really liked the way they looked and prefered them.  After all, he was just trying to do what he thought was best, and he is a mechanic.  He still won t put them back, but has said at least these are not bearing buddies exactly, and he will still do the annual maintenance on the bearings.  Maybe next year I can get my white caps back, he did admit he intended to put the caps back, but they wouldn t fit over these chrome caps.
 
 I guess I either get to put up with the caps, or one weekend I may just go out there and put them back on myself!  It s been known to happen...

You could put a set of hubcaps on so you don t see the chrome things.
