I just had to share this with someone, and no one is up at 1:50am!

I burned my first music cd tonight from downloaded music! I even made a label for the cd!! [:)] Of course I had to put it in the stereo to see if it would work and it DID!! [:D][:D]

okay okay I know this might not be anything special for you guys but heck....IT S MY FIRST TIME!! [8D]

A friend of mine in Canada told me about WinMx. It works like other programs but evidently it doesn t have the spyware like Kazaa does.

I am so proud of myself! [:D]

ShirleyTThat is a big deal.  I ve been burning CD s for about 2 years now off of downloaded music.  I just finished recording a couple of live concerts off of an internet radio station........ It took me a little while how to separate the file into separate tracks..... but definetely worth it.

ShirleyTgood for you, the first time I tried to burn a cd a made a coaster[: (]

ShirleyTI recently purchased one of these toys to burn my pics to discs when I ran out of space on my computer. I too, made SEVERAL coasters before getting it.  Then I decided I needed a labeller for all those cd s I mean you have to know whats on them. I promptly made a few more coasters the only differences are these one have beautiful labels with discriptive lists on them describing what is cunningly hidden under the label that is affixed to the WRONG sideof the cd. Good thing I used a couple of scraps from step number 1,  before I finally got the hang of things.  Oh well I guess its a learning process. [>:] [:)]

ShirleyTOkay so now I don t feel so bad for taking so long to make the stupid cd! I kept checking, double checking, triple checking to make sure I was making the cd right and getting the label right!

I got some labels at a salvage store over the weekend, 100 for $4.99 so I bought two packages. The bad thing is the label kit I bought doesn t work with the labels I have. Well the little do hickey works fine, but the software doesn t support the labels. I downloaded a free trial of Sure Thing label software and it does support it, but it runs out in 10 days. Now I will have to go find the software somewhere since walmart doens t sell it! [8D]

ShirleyTwhy to go. I remimber when i first made a cd. I think more went in the trash can. For our wedding favors DW came up with the idea of making Cds of our favorite songs. Which everyone thought was neat. See i told everyone she is the brains of this outfit. The only problem with makeing cd s is once you burn it thats it. Well they finally came out wiith a audio cdrw so you can erase any mistakes or after you get tired of all the songs on a cd you made you can erase them and put new songs on it.
