Last night in another thread, that I m sure makes some of you wonder about my loyalties to this country, I made a small mention of the fact that we had gone to my DGD s school program.    It was an elementary school, and my DGD is in Kindergarten.  But, each class had several numbers to sing in this program, which was based on love of country.    Along with the usual chuckles at the little boys with exaggerated motions, or the little girls who lifted up their dresses, I was totally breathless and brought to tears by the fervor and excitement these kids brought to this program.   All the students had been asked to wear blue pants, and a red, white or blue shirt, and the combinations of those colors was incredible.  They sang a very rich combination of songs relating to the wonders of this country, and actually remembered all the words, and motions, and did it with a volume level you could hear across the state.   I realise that many of you have children or grandchildren who have or will participate in spring programs like this.    Make the effort to be there to see them.  It will be one of the most wonderful things you can be part of in these trying times.

wiininkweDS s class had a spring concert last year that was just wonderful.  Their theme was also very patriotic.

wiininkweIt s great what the kids are learning in school now.  My DD also in kindergarten shocked us not too long ago when she started singing God Bless America with the radio.  They sing it every day in school.  At 6 years old she knows every word!  I m proud of her and the school.
